NiSource Launches $3.5 Million Giving Campaign for 2010

Merrillville, IN, November 16, 2009– NiSource Inc. (NYSE: NI) has launched a campaign to provide more than $3.5 million in contributions to local human services organizations during 2010.

In response to continued economic challenges in many of the communities where NiSource companies operate or provide energy services, the company, its employees and the NiSource Charitable Foundation, are joining forces to contribute to local organizations providing food, clothing, shelter and other basic needs to individuals and families. The NiSource Supporting Those in Need campaign is expected to result in contributions of more than $3.5 million during 2010, an increase of more than 10 percent over 2009 giving.
