Columbia Gas of Ohio responding to odor of gas calls
Columbus, Ohio – Tonight, Columbia Gas of Ohio crews are responding to odor of gas calls in Columbus. We are actively responding to each call and treating the calls as priorities. The odor of gas calls are not related to today’s incident on W. Broad Street, and we have not found any natural gas issue that would explain tonight's odor.
Customers are doing the right thing by contacting us immediately to report the odor. While our investigation of the calls appear to not be related to natural gas, customers who smell an odor of natural gas (a sulfur or rotten egg odor) should leave the area immediately, move to a safe location and call Columbia Gas of Ohio at 800-344-4077 and 911.
