Jack Laverty is manager of energy efficiency for Columbia Gas of Ohio. Jack is responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of the company’s energy efficiency program portfolio.
He joined Columbia in 2003, after serving in a variety of leadership level positions in the housing, economic development, and energy efficiency sectors with the Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development, the Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies and the State of Ohio. He has been engaged in the energy efficiency sector since 1979.
Jack serves as treasurer for the Board of Directors of the Finance Fund and as an advisor to the National Energy Steering Project. He is also a member of the Association of Energy Engineers, American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers, National Fire Protection Association, and Air Conditioning Contractors of America. In 2016, Jack was named a Legend in Energy by the Association of Engineers and Weatherization Champion by the Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development.
A native of McArthur, Ohio, he holds a bachelor’s degree in government from Ohio University.
Jack and his wife Sallie live in Columbus, Ohio. They are the parents of three sons and have four grandchildren.
