Identify opportunities to improve

How can you save energy and reduce your building’s operating costs? Energy Performance Benchmarking enables property owners and building operators to:

  • Monitor building energy performance over time
  • Identify and prioritize energy efficiency opportunities
  • Verify energy and cost savings

The US EPA’s Portfolio Manager measurement and tracking tool enables building owners and operators to track and assess energy and water consumption in their buildings. It generates weather-normalized energy use intensity and greenhouse gas emissions metrics for all buildings, as well as a 1-100 ENERGY STAR energy performance score for many eligible building types. Custom reports also allow users to see time trending information and compare buildings within their portfolio.
