Columbia Gas of Ohio Names 2024 Volunteer of the Year

Columbus, OH – Columbia Gas of Ohio has named Change Management Delivery Lead Brandi Williams as the company’s 2024 Volunteer of the Year, recognizing her outstanding commitment to giving back and passion for serving Ohioans in need. The Volunteer of the Year Award is an annual initiative at Columbia that celebrates and recognizes volunteerism, encouraging team members to nominate their peers.

In addition to the award, the NiSource Charitable Foundation will donate $5,000 to the Hocking Hills Children’s Museum in Brandi’s name. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the communities where customers and employees of NiSource, Columbia’s parent company, live and work.

“The communities we serve encompass our neighbors, customers, families and friends. When our team members choose to support their communities, they are making a difference in the lives of so many,” said Columbia Gas of Ohio President & COO Robert Heidorn. “Brandi and our other nominees exemplify Columbia’s commitment to our customers and serve as inspiration to others who want to give back.”

Brandi serves on an employee resource group that leads volunteers through community engagement initiatives and is a board member at the Hocking Hills Children’s Museum.

The 2024 Volunteer of the Year showcases Columbia’s philosophy that Columbia Cares about our customers and the communities we serve. The work that Brandi does, as well as the many team members who donate their time and passion to nonprofits across Ohio, bolsters Columbia’s mission to be a trusted energy partner.
