(Columbus, OH) – September marks the start of Hunger Action Month, and Columbia Gas of Ohio will once again support its partners across the state that are working to end food insecurity in Ohio. This campaign also encourages others to spread the word and join the fight against hunger.
“Too many families are facing food insecurity, but we can work together to meet the needs of our friends, neighbors and fellow Ohioans,” said Bob Heidorn, president and COO of Columbia Gas of Ohio. “Here at Columbia, we help our customers stay warm and connected, and during Hunger Action Month, we offer additional support to our partners who are working to meet the basic need of food security.”
Throughout this month, Columbia team members will volunteer with nonprofits across the service territory to help struggling Ohioans feed their families. Nonprofits include the Mid-Ohio Food Collective, Connecting Kids to Meals, the Springfield Soup Kitchen, Feeding Medina County and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
