
Columbus, OH – Columbia Gas of Ohio is proud to have been named a 2024 Utility Customer Champion – Residential by Escalent based on its findings in the Utility Trusted Brand & Customer Engagement Residential study.
Columbia is one of just 47 utilities recognized for this award. The study tracked 142 gas, electric and combined utilities for brand and customer experience opportunities and trends in the industry. Columbia received an Engaged Customer Relationship score of 728.
Escalent reports that in 2024, brand trust had the biggest impact on brands’ Engaged Customer Relationship score. However, Customer Champions like Columbia outperformed the industry average in key attributes including company reputation, investing in infrastructure safety and reliability, and increased benefits awareness among customers.
