There are many resources to help you maintain or reconnect your service – and we hope every customer in need will take advantage of them. Here are some options:
Special Reconnect Order
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) has issued the 2022-2023 Special Reconnect Order (SRO). Beginning October 14 through April 18, 2025, Columbia Gas of Ohio customers can reconnect service or avoid disconnection for the winter heating season for just $175 plus a reconnection fee. Customers who take advantage of the SRO program must establish a payment plan for their outstanding balance. If service has already been disconnected, reconnection using the SRO requires an additional $36 charge.

Energy assistance is available through your local Energy Assistance Provider.
Payment plans
If you’ve fallen behind, a payment plan can make your bill more manageable.
The WarmChoice program offers free home weatherization for income-eligible Columbia Gas customers.
HeatShare
Administered by the Salvation Army, HeatShare is a fuel fund that combines customer, employee and stakeholder donations with company donations to assist you.
Energy Efficiency Program
Our WarmChoice® program provides complete home weatherization to income-qualified customers at no cost.
